Today’s highlight was the creation of the instructional video. I found that to be the most exciting aspect of our class today. I was extremely nervous conducting it and talking “on camera” even though I was not visible. I still enjoyed the learning experience. I know my kids will want me to help them create and edit videos now!
We also explored some very awesome video hardware during class. Dr. Holder brought in a GoPro camera, a mount, and a tripod. He also demonstrated a device call Swivl. This device will hold a tablet or phone for recording purposes. The Swivl sets on a tripod. The user will hold a remote, which is Bluetooth enabled. As the user walks around the room, the Swivl will turn to follow the remote signal. This would be a GREAT tool for recording classes.
I am exhausted today. These long nights are catching up to me. I am on my second energy drink since 7pm. I just have to push through for a couple more hours worth of work. Then I will be ready for tomorrow.
As much as I love being at Liberty University, I am ready to go home to see my children. I miss them so much and it is WAY too quite in this room. I am ready to hear Hot Wheels being launched off the stairs and then hear Mighty Man insist that he is testing trajectory. I am ready to have Princess beg me to take her to Hobby Lobby for more paints and canvas. I am ready to hear RhinoMonkey insist that Spike (the bearded dragon) needs to sleep in his bed. (Which is NOT going to happen!)
